It’s just a few days until the next Optimisey event – on Thursday 26th July, 6-8pm.
It’s hard to believe this will be only the sixth one ever – it feels both shorter and longer in different ways!
This one is going to be a real cracker though with more Grade A speakers; more actionable advice to improve the search performance of your website(s); more awesome people to ‘network’ with (if the word “networking” fills you with horror – re-frame this as connecting and share ideas with like-minded and/or interesting people).
And did I mention it’s all free?

Speakers
I am chuffed as the proverbial badger with the speaking line-up for this event too. Two super-sharp SEO’ers with a whole heap of smarts to share. They are:
Stacey MacNaught
Stacey MacNaught started her career as a trainee with a Manchester SEO agency in 2009. Nine years and several promotions later, she enjoyed a role on the board and was responsible for strategy and delivery across all the agency’s organic search clients.
In 2018, she left her agency role to launch a career as a freelance SEO and Content Marketing Consultant. Stacey is also a conference speaker, and has spoken at including Mozcon, BrightonSEO, SearchLove, Friends of Search and Learn Inbound. She lives just outside Manchester with her husband and two young sons.
Stacey’s list of speaking gigs is impressive – it’s safe to say she’s pretty good at this and knows her stuff.
Stacey’s going to talk about links. Namely getting more of them, from other websites, pointing to yours.
Links are a vital part of being visible in search results but building links and building good links is time-consuming and plain difficult – making it hard to build a business case for too.
Find out how Stacey does it in a creative, sustainable and scale-able way.
Anna Corbett
Originally from Germany, Anna is super efficient and logical, she’s been softened by years of British politeness and queuing and for over 10 years, she’s devoured every scrap of knowledge about search marketing.
As Head of Digital Marketing at Base Creative, Anna is obsessed with helping real businesses become more literate in online marketing. She has co-authored the book 50 Days of Social Media (but she doesn’t like to talk about it).
Anna has spoken at a host of SEO events, including the most recent BrightonSEO – though I’m sure the highlight of her career was making the ‘runners-up’ list of The 11 coolest names in SEO (you need to check out her maiden name).
Anna’s going to talk about intent (she and have already nerded out about it a bit in the planning for this session).
Success in search is about giving users what they want, when they want it. But… how do you know what they want?
Intent is a vital part of that. Anna’s going to explain how you can better understand searcher intent and through that, deliver better results and get more of the right kind of traffic to your site (kinda the raison d’être of the Optimisey events in the first place – so I’m really looking forward to this talk).
